On the second floor of the Brookwood Library, until the end of August is a wonderful display of art by local artists. This is presented by Washington County Art Alliance in conjunction with the city of Hillsboro. The artwork becomes even more interesting after you get to hear the artists talk about what inspired them to create these pieces.
On August 7th from 5 pm to 7:30 there will be a reception where you can meet with many of the artists who created these works. Most of the pieces are for sale – this is an excellent way to support local artists! Art demonstrations will be given by Cherie Savoie Tintary, Amy Mower, Mike Mason, Natasha Kobbe, Neerajana Rai, Sharon Dunham and Susan Tait.
