Artist’s Statement: I have a fascination for light and color as they play out on a variety of subjects. My current work focuses on exploring the natural world through color, texture and patterns of light with an emphasis on atmosphere and mood. I love teaching and sharing the creative process with my students. Art inspires my journey and reminds me how each of us has a unique way of expressing our art. In addition to Painting, I have been designing and creating jewelry. The intersection of painting and jewelry play well together. I am continually inspired by the subtle beauty of nature and ordinary things. The creative process is mysterious, exciting and the most wonderful journey to be on.
