Artist’s Statement: My paintings hover between observation and exploration. I have a fascination for light and color on a variety of subjects. I’m dedicated to the direct observation of nature. My current works focus on exploring the natural world through color, texture and patterns of light, with an emphasis on atmosphere and mood. I love the never-ending search for color combinations and composition. l enjoy teaching and sharing the creative process with my students. The students Art inspires my constant journey, and reminds me how each of us have a unique way of expressing our ART. It is all one process. What defines my art is not so much the tinkering, and playing with the paint, but the quiet attention to the most seemingly ordinary subject matter.
