Media: fused glass and torchwork
Artist’s Statement: The Pacific NW has always been my home and my artistic inspiration comes from observing the colors of nature and pursuing the elusive vibrant sky. I first became captivated with glass at the age of 17 when I viewed the stained glass windows at the cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. My glass journey began when I took my first stained glass class in 1990. Since 2004 I have worked with several inspiring artisans in fused glass and torch work. I love the transformation that takes place from setting a cold piece of glass in the kiln and with heat forming an artistic creation. I consider my glassmaking an ongoing aspiration, discovering new techniques to learn and explore.
