Artist’s Statement: Hangar Studio features 7 artists – Lee Smith combines abstract style and vibrant color in her bright mixed-media contemporary pieces.Carolyn Pettitt uses expressive techniques and textures in her acrylic paintings, 3D sculptures and mixed media collage. Doug Pettitt, photographer, captures Oregon’s beauty with close ups for abstract and intimate landscape shots, from every corner of the state. David Jerome, crafts texture in his pottery utilizing tools from nature as well as his signature chattering. Gayle Pedemonte finds inspiration for her oil paintings from her garden and travel. Gretchen Olson, hand builds ceramics inspired by nature in lovely earth tones. Linda Jerome works in ceramic hand building wildlife and figures.
