Artist’s Statement: A self taught watercolor artist, a mother of three and married to my best friend; my life is rich with love and connection-something I hope is reflected in my work. I strive to capture beauty, light and emotion of the world around me. My paintings are not just representations of landscapes but an invitation to PAUSE, BREATHE and FEEL the serenity of nature. I have always been drawn to the transparency, luminosity, fluidity and the delightful unpredictability of water-colour. I have learned the importance of planning, working in layers, pausing , using dry brush strokes etc and when to stop painting before over working a piece.
