Artist’s Statement: From the first moment I touched clay, I knew it was love. Clay invites me to get lost in a world of endless creativity and to be fully present, taking life one squishy, messy, magical step at a time. I’m the kind of artist who spots something curious in nature-a gnarled tree root or a fantastical mushroom-and can’t help but wonder, “Could I make that in clay?” So I dive in, hands first, experimenting wildly for the sheer joy of it. I hope that when you see my work, you smile, laugh, or maybe raise an eyebrow and ask, “What on earth is that?” Either way, my art is here to evoke, amuse, and maybe surprise a bit.
