Mentorships Offered 2021

Note: This is a record of the mentorships that were offered in 2021. These have all been completed.

The mentorship program for 2021 offers the opportunity to receive individual instruction from an Open Studios artist at no cost to the participant. It is open to both aspiring artists and experienced artists of all ages from 16 and up . We have changed the program this year to make it more attractive to participants.

How it works

A number of mentorships will be offered in 2021. Each will pair one artist ( the mentor ) with one student. The mentorships will be announced on our website, our Facebook Page and our Instagram page. Each mentorship will include nine hours of instruction spread over several sessions.

The mentorships are listed below. One applicant will be selected for each mentorship. The mentor and student will arrange for the mentoring to take place at a mutually convenient time. The mentor will provide one on one guidance to the student.

Students who complete their mentorship will be given the opportunity to display during Open Studios weekend one item of work that was created as part of the mentorship.

Timeframe

Applications for mentorships are open until August 15th. The successful applicants will be notified no later than September 1st and announced on social media. Mentorships will take place between late August and early October.
