Media: fiber, dye, thread
Artist’s Statement: I am a fiber artist indulging in hand dyed fabrics and many thread colors. I draw inspiration primarily from the world around me, as I see it rather than how it is. My work is typically representational albeit somewhat abstracted. I love fiber because it is a flexible medium. It can be shiny or dull; stiff of soft, squared up or jagged edged, 2D or 3D. It can be hand sewn, machine sewn, embroidered, glued, or manipulated in abundant ways. My art is multi-layered and continues to build during the quilting process and sometimes embellishment after quilting.
