Media: Mixed media, acrylic, alcohol ink
Artist’s Statement: Seeing, listening and deep feeling inspire my art. I am a multiple medium artist creating works filled with dimension, a sense of wonder, expressing the spirit of the subject. Art captures a moment in time. For me, art is about exploration of this moment. I am always asking “what if?” – exploring mediums, texture and color in my work. The results are fun and unexpected. And always colorful! I am excited to once again participate in Washington County Open Studios. My art journey began about 15 years ago, initially translating creative work-place skills into digital collage art. Analog collage, acrylic, and alcohol ink soon followed. Current work involves each of these mediums, often in combination. Look forward to seeing you!

Media: Acrylics, Mixed Media with Oil Pastels
Artist’s Statement: In a time far, far, ago I discovered that I like to draw and paint. As life went on, I dabbled in drawing, paint, pastels and watercolors. In 2012 I seriously decided to paint. I chose to paint some pictures that I saw in a newspaper. Then my love began. I love nature and I love beauty. Color is the joy of my life. I think there is nothing more beautiful than creation. I do not believe that I can improve on what God has created, so I try to recreate what He has made with my own personal flair. I paint landscapes, animals, gardens, beaches, and most anything that catches my eye. I hope you enjoy my impressions of the greatest Creator of all.
